On Sunday 10th December, members of all the local groups united with Golcar Hands Off HRI to host our Family Christmas Party.
The event was well attended, despite the snow which added a touch of magic to the day.
The children enjoyed a variety of traditional party games such as musical chairs, musical bumps, pass the parcel, a quiz, and children’s entertainment table which included the opportunity to create their own tree decorations.
The members of the group contributed towards a buffet which was enjoyed by all.
The various groups also hosted their own tables offering our by now, well known tombola, merchandise and a raffle.
Perhaps the highlight of the day was the visit by Father Christmas who took time out from his very busy schedule to support the fundraising towards the legal fund for Saving HRI – Santa thinks these are foolish plans too!
Helen Robinson of Golcar Hands Off HRI had this to say about the day
“Money counted from today and other things given to me to pay in
Thank you all for the contribution to the buffet it was a fantastic table of food and for setting the childrens party up.
I could name you all but do not want to upset anyone as all did an amazing job
